24 Years of Good Service
The
Mmelesi Lodge lies in the fertile lands below Thaba-Bosiu. Thaba-Bosiu
itself is a national monument and apart from the incredible sandstone
formations surrounding it e.g. Qiloane Rock, it is the burial place of
King Moshoeshoe I and II. The mountain is considered sacred and it is
the destination of many pilgrims journey. The Thaba-Bosiu mountain
committee has permanent guides, who are well informed and available to
take guided tours up and around the mountain. To the western side of the
lodge id the Phuthiatsana river, a stunning picnic area but when
flooded prevents access to the further lying western villages. Being so
central, Mmelesi Lodge has easy accessibility to Maseru (for shopping
trips) and the mountain road into the glorious Maluti Mountains
